In an effort to support the Ecommerce web site a implemented the long term plan of having they Sybase Database move to a Veritas Cluster on the Sun Sparc platform. Having implemented a Storage SAN the previous year in support of this goal - the next step was to move to a Highly Available platform in which up to 20% of Wholesale orders are placed.
This is the third revision of the Data Warehouse and the second since Finger Lakes Computer Consulting has been designing and managing the Data Warehouse for this local manufacturer.
